How do I report an insurance property damage claim?
With Aspray, there are 2 options as to how you make your initial property damage claims report, regardless of who your insurer is – should you wish to utilise the full service Aspray claims management offering.
You have free choice to manage your claim directly with insurers and multiple contractors directly. Insurers contact details can be found in your policy wording, please contact us for more details or for duplicate documents.
Option A :- Business Insurance Service policyholders can contact Aspray directly (no matter who your insurers are), mention you are a Business Insurance Service client and your claim will be registered.
a. Name and postcode of policyholder (claim address if different).
b. The contact details the Policyholder is happy for Aspray to contact them on (work, home & mobile if possible).
c. The best time to contact the policyholder, if available.
Option B :- Inform Business Insurance Service of your property damage claim and we will instruct Aspray and insurers on your behalf. Aspray Head Office will call you within the next 2 hours to take your instruction in arranging a suitable time for a local representative to visit your premises and view the damage.
When the local Aspray representative visits your premises, they will be asking the policyholder to sign an authorisation form to appoint Aspray as an Appointed Representative to work on the policyholder’s behalf (also known as a mandate), this mandate is made in respect of the interests of this particular claim only.
